One of the best ways to take advantage of good weather in Barcelona is to take to the streets and, especially, to the terraces of the city. There is something for all tastes and – artistic budgets, popular-, but all equally serve to enjoy the Mediterranean sunshine at a leisurely pace. Here are six great tips.

02 Terrace of them Indianes

1881 occupied by the restaurant, rooftop Museu d’Historia de Catalunya (Plaça de Pau Vila, +34 93 221 00 50) can boast one of the best terraces in town. Its decor, halfway between minimalism and Ibiza Aires, invites you to enjoy the sunsets from the port of Barcelona. They serve cocktails, tapas and good music. If there is hunger, the luxurious restaurant serves tasty rice dishes and grilled fish.

Cocktail 03 Torre Rosa

Torre Rosa terrace cocktail bar in Barcelona.
Sometimes, the best secrets are hidden in the neighborhoods, far from the pomp of the historic center. This is the case of the Torre Rosa cocktail (Francesc Tarrega, +34 93 340 88 54), located in a secluded mansion in the early twentieth century, in the neighborhood of Congrés-Indians. The terrace is a little oasis of palm and pine trees and is open all year. In its careful menu includes the combined vermouth, gin and champagne.

04 Delacrem

DelaCrem ice cream in the street Enric Granados in Barcelona.
If what you want is an ice caps, sorbets and creamy of Delacrem (Enric Granados 15-17; +34 93 004 October 93) are superb. And what better to savor in turbinate or tub, in his small terrace. We must hunt the tables on the fly and then enjoy the cityscape: the pedestrian area of the wealthy Enric Granados street with young families walking their children and their dogs race.

05 Morrysom

The busy terrace bar Morryssom in Barcelona. / Eriol
Sometimes, it’s not so much of the continent and content. Customers are well aware of Morrysom (Girona 162; +34 93 458 40 17), waiting patiently for his turn to sit on the terrace of this simple tapas bar with character. Portions of whitewater, salads, chicken wings coated or invite repeat and the menu is good value / price. The industrious waiters serve the tables with poise and from time to time, letting out a joke.

06 Café d’Estiu Marés

Terrace Café d’Estiu, Frederic Mares Museum in Barcelona.
And finally, what better way to spend the afternoon on a terrace a few meters from the cathedral of Barcelona, next to a gothic patio and in medieval times it was a garden, enjoying the sound of water and the freshness of plants and color risen bougainvillea. Yes, it is true, Cafe d’Estiu (Plaza San Iu 5; +34 93 310 30 14), Frederic Mares Museum terrace, comes in many tourist guides, but that did not detract one iota of charm: still a so evocative and bucolic place.
