On this tour we will know part of the Costa Brava and her two peoples who represent the essence of this coast. Opposing each other, but at the same time complementary, will, after a few hours outside of Barcelona, return with a complete picture of what the Costa Brava. Take Highway and about 1 h 15 min reach Lloret de Mar, the main tourist center of the Costa Brava. Upon arrival we will realize its bustle. Lloret receives visitors from around the world prepared to enjoy the beaches, hotels, shops, activities and all of its lively nightlife. We will have an hour to explore this colorful and dynamic people of strong identity. Throughout his peculiar promenade you can enjoy excellent views of the beaches, from the majestic beach of Lloret until the hidden Sa Caleta. Similarly, two hills on both ends thereof, may serve as an excellent views of the entire city and its surroundings. Walking through the narrow streets, hiding his recent seafaring past, we discover many shops for all tastes: from the latest brands to typical shorebirds bazaars. In her most commercial street we can admire architectural jewels of great value as the Church of Sant Romà an exquisite modernist style inside which is an altarpiece of the XVI century in excellent condition.
About 10:50 h climb aboard the DOFIJETS which leads us to the nearby town of Tossa de Mar. While we are sailing and enjoy the unique landscape so characteristic of the Costa Brava: a parade of huge cliffs where the force sea and wind have shaped fanciful forms over the centuries. About 12:00 we got to the emblematic town of Tossa de Mar, known as the “Pearl of Costa Brava” little space for housing in those scenic and historical elements which have deserved reputation as the coast. Its spectacular landscapes, from its shores, beaches, caves in the cliffs to the wild vegetation, make it one of the towns that has best preserved its natural environment perfect harmony with tourism development.
Currently it is the only model of medieval fortified town that still exists in the Catalan coast, built in the early thirteenth century, it has undergone several renovations that have given the current structure. Outside its walls there are the old traditional fishing district of Sa Roqueta, where the sailor still air so characteristic of the people of the Costa Brava remains. Once we are in Tossa de Mar, for those interested, we will begin a walk from the beach to the top of the perimeter wall where the lighthouse stands. There, we can recreate with stunning views of the coast. When descending, passing through the narrow streets of Vila Vella until the marine district. From here, you will have free time to finish to discover the surroundings and to eat. This town certainly has the most extensive and varied cuisine of the Costa Brava.
